35 years of MGW – growing together. celebrating together.
Founded in 1991 as a partnership between four shareholders, MGW started out with 12 employees and its first machine — a UWG, a machine for the renewal of turnouts and track. Today, MGW looks back on 35 successful years of company history.
What began on a small scale has developed into a powerful fleet comprising five railway construction cranes, three ballast-cleaning machines, 20 material conveyor and silo units (MFS), and two loading units. But it is not only our technology that has grown — so have the people behind it. Today, our team consists of 56 employees. We are particularly proud that two colleagues have been with us from the very beginning to the present day — a strong testament to solidarity, trust and lasting commitment.
From our first assignments to demanding large-scale projects, MGW has stood for expertise, progress and reliability in track construction for 35 years. We took this anniversary as an opportunity to look back on our company’s history together with long-standing customers, business partners and valued companions along the way.
During a boat cruise through Berlin in summer, we were delighted to welcome numerous guests on board and spend a memorable day together in a pleasant atmosphere. The many personal conversations, encounters, congratulations and shared memories once again demonstrated that successful projects are built above all on trusted partnerships.
We would like to express our sincere thanks for the many congratulations, gifts and kind words we received on the occasion of our anniversary. Our thanks also go to everyone who was unable to attend in person but sent us their best wishes in other ways.
We would like to thank all our employees, customers, business partners and valued companions for the trust they have placed in us and for the excellent cooperation over the past 35 years.
We look forward to writing the next chapters of MGW’s history together with you in the future.
